Pressure densimeter I.C.I. ref. 1510

Densimeter designed and developed by I.C.I. to measure the density of paints which lock up a considerable quantity of air, obtained during the manufacturing process.
The tester applies a pressure which drives out the air volume until it's negligible.

  • Appropriate for products containing up to 10% of air.
  • Reproducibility : ± 0,5%.

Drying recorders ref. BK

Defines the different stages in the drying process : vaporisation time of solvent, dust free stage, stick free stage, through drying stage.

  • In option : motor 3 speeds - 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours.

BK3 : Model 6 test strips, 1 motor, 3 speeds : 6 h, 12 h or 24 h.
BK6 : Model 6 test strips, 3 motors, 3 speeds between 2 h and 72 h.
BK10 : Model 10 test strips, 5 motors, 5 speeds between 2 h and 72 h.

Cubic film applicator 25 mm 37/75 µm : see our page Film applicators.

Minimal temperature measurement ref. M.F.F.T.

Determines the minimal film-forming temperature using a nickel plated copper platen producing a progressive temperature gradient. Particularly recommended for emulsion paints, this tester also allows the study of drying constraints of water-borne coatings and synthetic latexes.

  • Temperature range : from -5 to +90°C.
  • 6 predefined temperature programs.
  • Other ranges on request.
